LT Unit (Logistics Technology Team)

A specialized team with a wealth of expertise, knowledge, and implementation experience supporting the SBS Group’s cutting-edge logistics technology capabilities.

Labor shortages and growing e-commerce demands have placed increasing pressure on the logistics industry to adapt and look to innovative solutions to maintain operational efficiency. One of the most prominent solutions to this problem is to fully or partially automate operations in logistics warehouses, such as incoming and outgoing shipments.

However, building a successful automation system requires specialized knowledge, staying up to date with the rapid developments in technology, significant capital investment, business design capabilities, and implementation expertise. Developing these capabilities in-house can be time-consuming and resource intensive.

In response to this growing need, the SBS Group has established a specialized organization to support the creation of logistics sites that make full use of state-of-the-art logistics technology. A total of about 40 professional staff members of the Group, including our company, have formed an LT (Logistics Technology = logistics technology) unit (team). We respond to various logistics reform needs from our customers across the globe.

Expert Logistics Robotics and Systems Implementation

Our Logistics Technology (LT) team delivers comprehensive solutions across five key areas: proposal support, new operation implementation, existing operation improvement, system requirements definition, and new technology integration. When clients seek logistics site optimization or new base development, we proceed with solving the problem through the process shown in the figure on the right.

The LT team has a proven track record, having successfully implemented over 100 projects. This includes deploying advanced material handling systems like AutoStore and shelf transfer robots, and developing innovative information systems such as AI volume forecasting, network visualization, and bulk inspection systems. Our expertise extends globally, with successful projects in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Thailand, and China, encompassing VMI systems, parts supply centers, and WMS implementation
